A complete dump! It is obvious that not one person, from the rude, unresponsive and unaccommodating girl at the front desk, to housekeeping, to property owners, has one iota of pride or ownership in their job. We too stayed here for the eclipse and will never stay at a Red Roof again because of this experience. Linens were dirty, towels were small and rough. The light in the bathroom is a 20 watt bulb. We got no housekeeping service and the front desk clerk’s response was, “Well, housekeeping has gone home.” I asked if we could at least get clean towels, she said she would deliver them but they never arrived. Not like she was busy, she managed to leave and lock the office up. An hour later, I went back to ask for towels and she had complely forgotten. The facility is in dire need of a coat of paint, they leave bins of trash in the hallway. Like I said, a dump and no one cares. At least you could use it for the homeless or migrants.

This place is a dump. I always check reviews before booking a hotel, but my husband does not. He booked this place because he really wanted to see the eclipse in totality, and everywhere else in Syracuse was booked. We got in late, so there wasn’t time to find somewhere else in another town. The room reeked of cigarette smoke, there were only 3 pillows for 2 double beds and one of them didn’t have a pillowcase. The quilts were stained and full of burn holes, and the lock on the door didn’t work. To top it all off, not only did no one apologize for the room not being ready for us when I asked for another pillow and pillowcase, but the woman at the front desk was extremely rude about it. Unbelievable. Like all the other hotels, they jacked up their prices because of the eclipse, so we paid $200 for this experience. It is unsurprising that all of the reviews in the past year are 1-star except for 1 review that has 2 stars.

Between people arguing outside my door several times & the pipes rattling when other rooms used water I barely slept. Couldn't take a morning shower because tub didn't drain from the night before! The bed was ok but only a sheet and VERY thin blanket. Room was far from clean and stunk of cigarette smoke and overpowering attempt to cover it with air freshener. I turned on all the fans trying to clear it while at dinner but I think it made it worse. A friend killed bugs in her room so she didn't stay her second night. I've stayed at this location but not in the last 3 years. I'm shocked how bad it's become. Never again, BEWARE!!

Have stayed at this hotel many times over the years with a group of friends while attending local dog show. The hotel keeps going downhill and at this point it's about as bad as it can get.. There was one bath towel per room and when I asked for another, they said there were no more available..I heard woman at desk offer a man a sheet instead when he asked for another towel. Dirty overall.. Dirt under beds in our room, walls peeling and in awful shape and dead bolt to our room didn't work! We wont even talk about some of the people hanging around outside rooms. A few of my friends had rooms that were steaming hot and they couldn't turn down heat, so a couple of them left a day early even though they paid for two nights. Management responds to all these reviews but obviously does little to remedy the problems.. Wont ever go back...

This hotel has gone down over the years. I used to stay there with family when we’d visit Syracuse every year. Figured not much could have changed in the few years since our last visit but WOW! Between the bags of trash outside on the sidewalk and stairwells, the people sitting in the stairways definitely strung out and the overall condition of the room it certainly had gone down hill a lot. The room was full of flies, barely cleaned, the deadbolt wouldn’t lock and the door frame was cracked and splintered where if you opened the door with the “latch” set the whole door frame would nearly come off the wall. We got our refund on the room and went to a different motel.
